Heat sinks for dissipating lost heat from high-performance components (IGBT and GTO applications) have been part of SYKATEC´s product range for several years. We always keep a wide stock of various aluminium extrusion press material of different performance classes for air cooling systems. The aluminium extrusion press material can be broadened to almost any width by means of the friction stir welding process. State-of-the-art NC machines complete the processing steps agreed on with the customer, allowing delivery of goods at short notice. If air cooling is insufficient due to the amount of heat to be dissipated and amount of space available, SYKATEC brings in its experience in the successful use of water cooling systems. These water cooling systems are designed in close cooperation with the customer, using a special calculation programme, before we continue with the manufacturing process.
