During deep drawing of sheet metal, a flat sheet is drawn into a die by a punch – a forming process that enables stable and complex geometries without material loss. Deep drawing allows for the economical production of functional parts, housings or covers, especially for aluminium sheet, stainless steel sheet or brass sheet.
A particular advantage is the integrated corner forming, which creates dimensionally stable, watertight corners – without any weld seams. This makes the component not only functional, but also visually appealing.
