Large-scale powder-coating unit

Powder coating is an environmentally friendly and efficient method of finishing components.

In addition to changing the appearance of the components, powder coating provides ideal protection against corrosion. This process requires certified pre-treatment.

In our large component powder coating plant, we coat components up to 5,000 mm x 2,000 mm x 2,500 mm in all desired qualities and colors.

Our plant is certified in accordance with standard DBS 918 340, and thus ensures corrosion protection for up to 30 years.

Up to 25 m³

Facts:

Material: Steel, stainless steel, aluminum

Max. weight: 1,300 kg

Max. dimensions: 5,000 mm x 2,000 mm x 2,500 mm

Special feature: Mechanical pre-treatment

Components from SYKATEC pass the 1,000-hour salt spray test – that’s equal to 30 years of weather exposure!

Small-scale powder-coating unit

Our pass-through system for small parts is most suitable for flat components up to 2,500 mm long, 1,500 mm high, and 500 mm deep.

Here, too, surface treatment at SYKATEC includes certified pre-treatment to ensure long-term protection against corrosion.

A sealed plant structure with integrated wastewater recycling ensures the process is as environmentally friendly as possible.

Wet coating

In response to special customer requests or to provide special coatings for plastics we can use wet coatings on an occasional basis.

High-voltage-resistant coatings for plastic insulation components

Electroplating

We work with certified partners with years of experience for all electroplated finishing processes.

The most common application for electroplating at SYKATEC is the nickel plating of large-area busbars.

Here’s the highlight

Facts

Material: all common materials

The thickness of a nickel layer for corrosion protection is about 10 µm

Premium surfaces

– naturally

Copper busbars

Busbars are an important factor in power electronics when it comes to the susceptibility of certain machines to faults. Voltage peaks result from parasitic induction processes, which threaten semiconductors and jeopardize smooth operation. These kinds of problems can be avoided through various physical treatments and precise manufacturing.

Roof hoods

Fiberglass-reinforced material is challenging. We work with special machines and seal our products with a special coating.

Container handling

Ship containers that are exposed to constant weathering, in particular, require comprehensive corrosion protection and robustness. We can easily process these dimensions in our large-scale powder-coating unit.
